Being a hotel manager means encountering all sorts of guests, but nothing could have prepared me for Matias. He was a regular with a different woman each week until he brought his unsuspecting wife. At that point, I knew I had to teach him a lesson he’d never forget.
Hey, everyone.
I’m Leslie, and I’ve got a wild story to share.
I’ve been a hotel manager for years now, and let me tell you, I’ve seen it all.
But this? This takes the cake.
My job’s usually pretty great.
I love the hustle and bustle, meeting new people, and making sure everyone has a fantastic stay.
But a few months ago, something happened that turned my world upside down.
It all started on a busy Friday evening. I was at the front desk when this guy walked in.
Tall, handsome, with dark hair and a well-groomed beard.
He was wearing a tailored suit that probably cost more than my monthly rent.
And on his arm?
A stunning woman in a sparkly dress that left little to the imagination.
As I helped them check in, I noticed his driver’s license. Matias. That’s all I’m gonna say about his name, for privacy reasons, you know?
“Enjoy your stay, Mr.
Matias,” I said with my best customer service smile.
“Oh, we will,” he replied with a wink that made me feel a bit uneasy.
I didn’t think much of it at first.
Just another couple enjoying a night out, right?
Wrong.
The following week, guess who shows up again? Matias.
But this time, with a different woman. She was just as glammed up as the first one, but definitely not the same person.
This became a pattern.
Every week, sometimes multiple times a week, Matias would strut in with a new woman on his arm.
After about a month of this, my coworker Sarah couldn’t hold it in anymore.
“Leslie, have you noticed that guy?
The one who’s always here with a different woman?”
I nodded.
“Yeah, it’s…
weird, right?”
“Weird? It’s scandalous!” Sarah exclaimed. “What do you think his deal is?”
“Maybe he’s just enjoying the single life?”
But deep down, we all had our suspicions.
Then, out of nowhere, Matias disappeared for a week.
No show, no calls, nothing.
“Maybe he found true love,” joked Tom, our bellhop.
“Or maybe one of his dates turned out to be a serial killer,” Sarah quipped back.
We all laughed, but there was an underlying tension.
Something felt off.
The story doesn’t end here –
